Climate change has emerged as one of the most significant global challenges of the twenty-first century. It denotes persistent alterations in temperature, precipitation, wind patterns, and other climatic conditions. Human activities, particularly fossil-fuel combustion, industrial development, deforestation, transportation, and intensive agriculture, have accelerated the process of global warming. The consequences extend across human health, food security, water availability, employment, housing, migration, education, and psychological well-being. These effects are unevenly experienced, with children, older adults, persons with disabilities, low-income communities, outdoor workers, and populations in coastal or drought-prone areas facing greater vulnerability. Climate change influences health directly through heatwaves, floods, storms, and wildfires and indirectly through air pollution, infectious diseases, malnutrition, water scarcity, and displacement. This paper examines the principal ways climate change affects human life and considers measures for mitigation and adaptation.
