Thiazolidinone, a versatile heterocyclic scaffold, has gained significant attention in the field of medicinal chemistry due to its diverse biological importance. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the biological significance and potential applications of thiazolidinone compounds. Thiazolidinone derivatives exhibit a wide range of biological activities, making them attractive targets for the development of therapeutic agents. This review highlights the key biological properties associated with thiazolidinone compounds, including antimicrobial, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiviral, antidiabetic, and CNS activities. The mechanisms of action underlying these activities are discussed, shedding light on their interactions with cellular targets and pathways.
