Language and Power in Dystopian Fiction

Abstract

Translation is often seen as a bridge between cultures, but it also reshapes meaning and aesthetics. This paper compares translations of Pablo Neruda’s poetry into English and Hindi, analyzing how linguistic and cultural nuances alter imagery, rhythm, and emotional resonance. The study argues that translation is not merely a linguistic exercise but a creative act that generates new literary identities.
