His notable works include several tragedies, comedies, and history plays. Works of Shakespeare like “The tempest” and “Othello” and especially “King Lear” still have a place on the contemporary stage and in schools. It is also stated that he enriched the English language with a great number of words and phrases.
Shakespeare embodied his own life and works to such an extent that there are those who argue the play titled “Romeo and Juliet” is a reflection of Shakespeare’s life. Shakespeare in Love is a film that brings the world of Shakespeare to life and portrays it fictional where events from the author’s life relate with the writing of Romeo and Juliet. In all, he has left a mark as a playwright and a poet whose works will always be part of English literature.
